Frequently asked questions
How do I measure correctly?
Snug tape without squeezing, in the morning, relaxed. Measure two or three times and use the average.
Is it reliable?
For tracking change, yes, if you always measure the same way. The absolute number can be off by a few points.
Why do women measure their hips?
Fat is distributed differently; the women's formula uses the hips for a better estimate.
